When teaching a multi-level class, I always love t When teaching a multi-level class, I always love to find moves that I can offer multiple progressions so that everyone can feel successful in the move and everyone might be encouraged to try out the next level. 

This is one of my go-to progression series for shoulder block presses.

I’ll be teaching this tonight @sweatformpilates 

I won’t be able to demo the full progression on one side though—recovering from a NYE sprained ankle. Thankful for Pilate and Lagree for still offering me joint safe workouts during my recovery.

The ball is one of my favorite props for Pilates f The ball is one of my favorite props for Pilates flows. It can be used to connect better with the breath, to modify, to progress, to roll deeper into a move, or as a support for the low back. 

Posting this on Christmas Eve.  I thought about wearing a red top and a Santa hat for this filming.  I thought about painting a reindeer head on the ball.  That fourth slide would have been a bit more interesting.  Well, I thought about it.  Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday.

On a side note, I’d like to give a shout out to my 12-year-old social media assistant who, after asking her to film this, only sighed heavily twice, rolled her eyes once, and got this is one shot—because, as she informed me, that’s all she was going to give me.
